Home » About Ed100

Ed100.org has been created for an optimistic purpose:  to prepare you for an active role in making education work better for students, whether you are a parent, a student, a teacher, or an interested citizen. Ed100 systematically introduces the major competing ideas in plain language, with posts that connect you with organizations, resources and individuals to take you deeper into eachs topic. Along the way, Ed100 aims to help you navigate the many competing points of view and develop your own – hopefully with an appropriate mix of determination and humility.

The major posts of the Ed100 blog are based on the Full Circle Fund Education Impact Guide, originally created in 2005 to help Full Circle Fund members learn about education change options in California. It was released in a limited print version in 2008, to many favorable reviews.

The main writer of Ed100 is Jeff Camp, who chairs Full Circle Fund’s Education Circle. Camp is a parent, a philanthropist, and a former manager with Microsoft Corporation in the US and Japan. He served on the California Governor’s Committee on Education Excellence. He is also a songwriter and an astrocytoma survivor.

More information about Full Circle Fund can be found online, including how to join and how to contribute.

Ed100 is made possible by the contributions of Full Circle Fund members, with support from the Stuart Foundation and the Noyce Foundation.
Special thanks to David Plank of Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE), Stephanie Lin and Christyna Serrano of Education Pioneers, and Ritu Sharma of Polymorph Media Solutions. Without their efforts, Ed100 might not exist.
